Roble stud is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)in the heart of North Dorset. We are a small yard and intend to remain so to ensure that each horse receives the attention they deserve.  The horses share 50 acres with our flock of Friesland sheep.

Natural
We keep our horses as naturally as possible so they remain healthy in body and mind. Space to play, companionship and plenty of permanent pasture are important. Westoke Farm meets our requirements  allowing year round turnout, large well ventilated stabling facilities and miles of bridlepaths on our doorstep.

Why Spanish Horses
I had wanted to breed horses for as long as I could remember but never found the right breed for me.  I wanted something that was versatile, easy to keep and a joy to ride.  My friend introduced me to the PRE which is the Pura Raza Espanola or Purebred Spanish Horse. I haven't looked back since.  A word of warning for any of you who are thinking of getting a Spanish Horse - it is an addiction and I have not yet found a cure.

Roble
The stud name Roble is the Spanish word for Oak. The farm is situated on Okeford Hill, Oke being the original spelling for Oak.  All home bred horses will be prefixed Roble.

PRE
The Pura Raza Espanola is more commonly known as the Andalusian in the UK.  In Spain an Andalusian does not necessarily mean that they are registered in the Spanish Stud Book as a purebred.

We sometimes have Horses for sale.  If we don't, we are in contact with other breeders and are happy to put you in touch with them.

Our Stallion, Maryss Nogal is an excellent example of the breed and is proving popular with long established breeders who are impressed with his type and temperament.
